When the owners of die Boer theatre restaurant in Durbanville, Jurgen Human and Margit Meyer-Rödenbeck, opened its doors 12 years ago,  the plan was to create a 1 stop venue where the food, the wine, & the atmosphere matched the quality of the shows. We wanted to give our customers a special, all inclusive “sensory” experience.

Taking this vision a step further, die Boer is now launching a new inisiative: Once every two months we will be introducing Gourmet food, wine & music evenings, where our chef Jean Louis, wiil work in conjunction with some of the worldclass winemakers & wines & of the Western Cape

For this evening we will be priviledged to pair our food with the beautiful wines of Nederburg and telling us more about this world famous estate and it's wine's, will be Nederburg's Annetjie Hopkins
has been involved with Nederburg for approximately 31 years, presenting informative tastings for individuals and groups at the winery based in Paarl. She also acts as a tour guide for both local and international groups, captivating them in the unique way she brings the Nederburg story to life. She has worked closely with many Nederburg cellar-masters past, including winemaking legends such as Günter Brӧzel, Newald Marais and Razvan Macici, as well as current cellar-master Andrea Freeborough.  Many consider her a treasure trove of information when it comes to Nederburg’s award-winning wines and its illustrious history shaped over more than two centuries. Nederburg was founded by Philippus Wolvaart in 1791.  

Providing the music & several "mouthwatering" stories  will bethe enigmatic Koos Kombuis and Schalk Joubert (bass)
